Ever wonder what it was like being an early pioneer traveling across the country bound for a new home? Or perhaps what it was like to live in the mid 1800’s and try to survive in the mining industry or in the Old West? Well, here is the “307 Adventure” for you!
This, like our other adventures gives a great balance and the ability for our guests to fully experience what it was like in the era of the “Gold Rush” and the pilgrimage where families lived and died on a trail to new beginnings and hope of a prosperous future. Here you will have the ability to take a historic tour with trips to mining and ghost towns that still have standing stores and bunkhouses as well as a visit to actual monuments along the Oregon Trail.
For those that would like a little more adventure off of the beaten path, we have trails routed through the beautiful Wind River Mountain Range. Our guests will enjoy a bit of fun exploring the areas where the moose are still abundant, the deer and antelope play and the four-‐wheel drive has replaced the covered wagon as the main form of transportation to excitement.
Those wanting the full on wheeling experience can join our group that will be taking a trip into the mountains where the cell service stops and the wheeling begins. This trip and trail progresses in difficulty as the day goes on, it takes our travelers to the tops of mountains giving them a slight glimpse into the beauty of the lunch destination. The group will then traverse deep into the mountains to enjoy lunch beside one of the many lakes within the Wind River Mountain Range before turning around and making their way back out of the wilderness towards town. Although you will be one the same trail heading out, a whole new set of challenges will await you. This will be a long day for our adventurers but it is a trip and trail that can only be experienced, not explained. It is not uncommon in the high country to have rain or snow flurries this time of the year, so please be prepared with warm clothes. Should you choose to go on this trail, you will need at least 35” tires and lockers, a winch is great, but not required.
